lino cut & ink
11x14"
Worried that my favorite attempt at this image might be deemed "not a graphic" I tried something I'd never done before. I bought a large linoleum block and cut the image out, printing large areas of colored ink. Then I took a pen and drew on top of the printing. I like the casual look of it and the color and the textured look of the printed areas but what a lot of work! Yikes. In this case I think that the reversal of the image is fine but I just prefer a more direct method. If I were to get into printing I would probably try silk screening all of the colors and the final drawing so at least all that work would be reproduceable.
